JavaScript

The JavaScript programming language.

JavaScript is predominately used in web application development along with HTML and CSS.  In recent years its use has broadened into a number of areas traditionally held by compiled languages. With Node.js, JavaScript can be used server side as an application server or API.  JavaScript can also be used to create mobile apps with PhoneGap.  The JavaScript language spec is evolving rapidly, synonymous with versions of ECMAScript.
