Data Science

Data Scientists identify trends, visualize data, and report on their findings. It requires a mix of technical ability (coding, data handling), mathematical / statistical knowledge, and communication skills. The field includes machine learning, predictive analytics, statistics, and informatics.

Related to Data Science, Big Data is the analysis, curation, and wrangling of very large data sets. Big Data is being driven by an explosion in data collection due to the abundance of cheap sensors and data sources such as RFID tags, drones, cameras, microphones, and wifi networks.   The world generates approximately 3 exabytes of data daily.
